We need an evidence-based approach to make inroads in developing positive gender identity and preventing GBV. We take the approach where we engage stakeholders and beneficiaries as ‘thought partners’ to research knowledge, attitudes, and practices, including online. This will be intrinsically linked to co-creating new knowledge to drive transformational programmes in SA and continentally.

Asante Gender Action believes it is crucial that the effect of GBV on mental health is researched to ensure experiential and evidence-based initiatives lead to new initiatives.

Connected to women’s economic empowerment, we are researching the impact and cost of GBV to the South African economy.

Connected to prevention, our research focuses on cyber and technology GBV drivers and re-engineered safe spaces.
